YOGA CLASSES

In the practice of yoga every teacher has their own style. We have an eclectic teaching approach with an emphasis on alignment and long, deep stretches with a lot of breathing and holding of postures in order to allow your muscles, joints and connective tissue to release. Other benefits include:

Body - improved strength, flexibility, balance, endurance and overall body well being. Many people report that yoga has helped with arthritis, back pain, migraine headaches, digestive problems and many other physical issues.

Mind/Emotions - deeper sense of calm, reduced stress and anxiety, improved mood and confidence, relaxation and a greater sense of well being.

Spirit - forge a deeper connection with whatever your personal beliefs are.

WE OFFER SEVERAL LEVELS OF YOGA

                                         
BEGINNER YOGA is a great class for anyone who is just starting to do yoga. It's also good for those who have been practicing yoga for a while, but who prefer to not do Sun Salutations or more strenuous postures. Pranayama (breathing practices) is also part of this practice.

ALL LEVELS YOGA is also an excellent alternative for anyone who is just beginning to do yoga as well as those who have been practicing yoga for a while. All levels yoga includes Sun Salutations, flow of postures, more challenging postures and pranayama.

LOW IMPACT YOGA is a class geared towards those who want all the benefits of yoga in a less strenuous practice. Pranayama is also done. Typically, people who are able to get up and down off of the floor, but may have muscle or joint issues find this class very beneficial.

CHAIR YOGA is done seated in a chair, but does include some standing poses and balancing poses done at the wall. Pranayama is also done. This class is great for anyone who has trouble getting up and down off of the floor or balance issues. You should be independent with mobility for this class. PRIVATE YOGA INSTRUCTION

Sometimes people are looking for more individually based yoga instruction. We offer individual yoga classes and instruction based on what your specific goals are. You may also want to check out our YOGA THERAPY page. $35 for a half hour, $65 for an hour, 3 individual sessions for $170
