WHO WE ARE
Stephanie Trump Johnston, M.S.,M.A.,E-RYT 500 began her professional career as a Speech Language Pathologist and spent over 25 years specializing in the treatment of adults with neurological problems such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s Disease and Alzheimer’s Disease/dementia. She began practicing yoga almost twenty five years ago. She earned her initial Yoga Teacher Certification at the Peachtree Yoga Center in Atlanta, Georgia in 2000. Since that time she has completed over 1600 hours of yoga training with many schools and styles including Integral Yoga, Yin Yoga, Kripalu Yoga, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy and the Himalayan Institute. She earned a Masters degree in Psychology from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology and has a particular interest in the relationship between psychological and yogic theories. Along with teaching at the studio, she is also an Adjunct Professor at Penn State Harrisburg where she teaches classes in Yoga, its philosophy and practices. Stephanie has an open and light-hearted style and specializes in making yoga accessible and practical which allows for the possibility of living our lives in a more genuine and authentic way. Heather Reich has been a Professional Massage Therapist since 1999. She is licensed in the State of Pennsylvania and graduated with honors from the Berks Technical Institute in Wyomissing Pennsylvania. She expanded her practice to include Reflexology in 2007. She offers a wide range of massage modalities and specializes in Therapeutic Massage, Swedish Massage, and Reflexology. Sarah Monroy , RYT-200 teaches our Thursday morning Restorative class. She fell in love with yoga and loved it so much that she is now a teacher! She earned her Yoga Teacher Certification from Om My Yoga in 2013 and believes in bringing awareness to the breath and to the body to help promote mindfulness and over-all well being.
Terry Lewis, RYT-200 teaches our Monday morning All Levels Yoga Class. She earned her Yoga Teacher Certification right here at Free Spirit Yoga in 2016. Yoga is her life's guide book, and she finds joy sharing the benefits of a yoga practice with her students.
Tracy Buikema, LMT has been a Massage Therapist for 16 years and has been certified in Hot Stone Massage for over a decade. She received her training at the University of Anchorage in Alaska and currently teaches Hot Stone Massage and other modalities at HACC. She now offers Hot Stone Massage here at Free Spirit Yoga!
