FREE SPIRIT YOGA...We are a Wellness Center nestled in a quiet neighborhood one block off of Chocolate Avenue in Hershey/Palmdale.     YOGA HIKES - Saturday,  July 1 and August 5 from 10:00 to 11:30am
    One of our wonderful Yoga Teachers, Emily, will be leading a series of Yoga Hikes throughout the summer months. At this point it looks like she will lead one hike each month and the destinations will vary.  These Yoga Hikes include: *a guided warm-up *mindful walking on the trail *a pause for guided standing yoga postures *walking meditation on the return walk. No mats, props, or yoga experience are needed. Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing. The Yoga Hike is Free although you may feel free to give a $5 cash donation which will be given to a local environmental organization or project serving public land that we share and enjoy.     WEDNESDAY NIGHT "GRAB BAG YOGA" - Wednesdays from 6:30pm to 7:45pm -  Starting in April!
    Join us for our "Grab Bag Yoga" where every Wednesday night we will offer something a little different! The first Wednesday of the month will feature "Nature Yoga" - Nature Yoga is an all levels yoga class, offering guided breathing, yoga postures, movement, and brief meditation, as a way to reflect on mind, body, and earth. Movement will be modified to the needs of participants, with additions offered to more advanced students. Natural objects will be provided for use during class. Classes are lead by Emily Kimak, 200 RYT, early childhood educator, and nature lover. This class is a donation class.
    The second Wednesday of every month will be a SMET class. SMET (Self-Management of Excessive Tension) is a relaxation technique that was developed at S-VYASA, a yoga research university in Bangalore (India). The technique is used to combat stress and to promote productivity in the workplace. It combines basic yoga poses in order to create a state of clarity and rest equivalent to approximately 4 hours' sleep - in just 45 minutes. The class is also a donation class and will be taught by Nancy Mayne who returned to Pennsylvania after several years abroad where she lived and studied in France, Thailand, India and Ireland. Her path led her to discover massage and deepened her interest in yoga, meditation and herbalism.
    The third Wednesday of every month will feature Core Strength Yoga. This class combines yoga, body weight exercise and deep stretching. Beginning with light stretching and leading into yoga movements that integrate body weight exercises to build core, upper-body and lower-body strength. To finish, class winds down with a deep, relaxing stretch and savasana. The class will be taught by Terry Lewis, RYT-200 who also teaches our Monday morning Yoga Class. Yoga is her life's guide book, and she finds joy sharing the benefits of a yoga practice with her students. This class can be taken off of your class card or if you do not have a class card it is a $15 drop-in rate.
    The fourth Wednesday we will end each month with Restorative Yoga. This class is designed to help release deeply held tensions from the body and mind. Props will be used to make it easier for your body to relax in certain poses. It includes breathing exercises, restorative poses, relaxing music, and inspirational quotes and readings. It is suitable for all levels. The class is taught by Sarah Monroy who also teaches our Thursday morning Restorative class. Sarah fell in love with yoga and loved it so much that she is now an RYT-200.  She believes in bringing awareness to the breath and to the body to help promote mindfulness and over-all well being. This is a pay as you go class where the cost of each class is $20.     YOUR ENERGY=YOUR POWER =YOUR LIFE - A 4 WEEK PROGRAM ON HOW TO EFFECTIVELY EXPERIENCE & MANAGE YOUR PERSONAL ENERGY - Monday evenings from October 2 through 23 from 6:30 - 8:30pm. Facilitated by Gigi Jantos and Stephanie Trump Johnston.
    This is a 4-week experiential workshop where you will learn, share, journal and practice transformative tools that will help you to expand awareness of your own personal energy -- energy systems within you and that surround you -- how you give and receive energy -- and how the energetic forces in your environment effect your "energetic bank account." You will learn about  your own personal energy on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels. When you tap into your own energy, it opens the possibility for:
    You to make conscious and well thought out choices that benefits you and those you love
    You to stop denying yourself all that you can be
    You to start saying yes to things that matter the most and no to the non-sense in life
    You to experience shifting and uplifting yourself through energetic awareness
    You to raise your vibration by shedding what is ready to be released and transformed
    You to realize that beneath your aches, pains and shifting moods, you are pure energy
    You to declare that you will mend your relationship with yourself, making it a point to feel, understand, explore, care for and honor your own energy
    The cost of this course if $200 or  get the Early Bird rate of $175 if paid by September 18.
